About

When I was young and the late 80s/early 90s rolled around I loved taking photos on those little disposable cameras. We all had them on school camps, parties, hanging out on school holidays with friends. After I exhausted the roll of film and heard that iconic sound of no more photos, I’d excitedly drop them off at the nearest chemist and wait an hour for the photos to be developed (if I had the money to pay for a 1 hour processing!). I never knew if any of the photos would be in focus, well exposed, or even capture what I wanted. That was half the fun of it. My parents bought me a camera that took film so I didn’t have to use disposables and I could experiment with basic functions. I looked up to my brother and he his Canon film SLR with fancy interchangeable lenses and knew eventually I wanted to get my own fancy expensive kit! I started very small with a PowerShot A80 and bought a macro “lens” on ebay that fit over the fixed lens, and fell in love with macro photography for a long time (still am, in all honesty) Some of which still remain on my old deviantart account!
